After starting your morning with breakfast and a wellness activity, you will meet your Atlas Mountain guide, who will accompany you on a memorable journey to the High Atlas Mountains. You will drive across some of the most beautiful valleys to the village of Imlil, which is dominated by the highest peak in North Africa. Start an easy hike, or ride a mule to one of the highest and most picturesque Berber villages where you will meet with the local Berber people, the earliest inhabitants of Morocco, and discover their way of life and culture. During the hike, admire breath-taking mountain scenery.

Day 3

Yoga & Marrakech Food Tasting

Begin your day with breakfast and a morning wellness activity at the hotel.
After freshening up, we will have an afternoon culinary exploration led by our English-speaking guide. Walk inside the old Medina and stop at one of the traditional bakeries where you can see the furnace that heats the local public steam bath and where locals occasionally bring a sealed pot of stewed lamb or beef called “Tangia,” to be slow cooked by the keeper.
We explore local food markets and stop at the spice square to learn about the herbs and spices used in Moroccan cooking. A short break on this square has been planned in order to taste some traditional Marrakech herbal tea on one of the roof terraces overlooking the square.
Our guide will continue the tour, showing us different food markets selling preserved meat, dry fruits and nuts, olives, preserved lemons, and mint before we stop by the shops preparing and selling steamed and roast lamb.
As we arrive on the main square of Jemaa El Fna, we will find a large space dedicated to local people and visitors seeking delicious and rare traditional recipes. Stroll around the stalls offering different sorts of local specialties, from freshly squeezed Moroccan orange juice to special hot spiced tea, and from different Moroccan soup and stew stalls to the snail bars.
After exploring this square, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, we arrive in Dar Moha, the former home of the French designer Pierre Balmain, and which is now run as an upscale Moroccan restaurant by the famous Chef Moha. Moha has a different and artistic style of Moroccan cooking, mixing the flavors, colors, and ingredients. Here you will have an amazing culinary festival, introducing you to Moroccan Nouvelle Cuisine.

We’ll continue the drive and cross the rocky mountains and green hills of the High Atlas to reach the crystal clear water of the Bin El Ouidane Lake, fed by the waters of the Oum Rabii river and by the snow of the surrounding mountains. Dotted with a multitude of beautiful small bays and many islets appearing and disappearing as the water levels rise or fall, the Bin El Ouidane Lake is the perfect place for wellness and adventure, with plenty of excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, including kayaking tours and jet ski adventures.
